The Carpenter - Sydney

Coffee good but for the second time in 2 weeks the order didn’t print so no food was made and after 10min today waiting and 15min the other week i won’t be back. Such a simple thing to check etc yet it’s not working. Not a good experience

Wanted to order the pancakes but were going to take 20 minutes to make , so I ordered the Thai beef salad

Coffee is okay, service is good, however they are really lacking in the food department. Ordered a turkey and cranberry sandwich. Turns out all you can taste is the bread because it only came with a single slice of turkey. Let alone the turkey tasted like something you could get from a Cole’s/Woolworths prepackaged packet. Very disappointing. Many cafes out there are very generous with their ingredients but it’s really lacking at this place.

Nice breakfast but somehow no vegetables. No heater for this restaurant, so quite cold in this freezy morning.

Discovered this cafe during covid whilst on a walk during lock down and lobed their coffee..since then I moved around the corner last year it became my regular. Never had a bad dish but the smashed avo croissant is my favourite breakfast option. I also love that they have chicken nuggets with hot chips on the menu for the little hunger . Staff are always friendly no matter how busy it gets (and on a weekend it does! . I like their set up with the indoor seating and the chairs outside for people waiting for coffee or just hanging out. It 's just a good vibe at The Carpenter.
