Bidra med feedbackWe decided to grab a quick bite before heading to a movie and stumbled upon this restaurant. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and we enjoyed the decor and cutlery. The service was efficient, even as the restaurant started to fill up - a popular spot. As first-time visitors, we decided to explore the diverse menu, although we noticed that most customers were opting for yum cha options. We chose the Peking Duck half, Wok fried beef with cumin, Yangzhou fried rice, green beans with pork mince, and xiao long bao. The standout dishes for us were the Duck, followed by the xiao long bao and the beef. The Duck was beautifully cooked with a crispy outside, the xiao long bao had a thicker skin than expected but a savory pork ball, and the beef was also very good, although a bit fatty at times. The green beans with pork mince dish is usually a favorite of mine, but it lacked flavor this time. However, the beans were firm and crunchy. We skipped dessert and opted for ice cream elsewhere. The total cost, including tea and a soft drink, was 107 AUD, which seemed a bit pricey for lunch. The portion sizes were generous, and we ended up taking home some leftovers, except for the duck. The pricing was similar to other Chinese restaurants serving the same dishes, but in my opinion, it fell slightly short when compared to its competitors.
Many restaurants boast about having the best dumplings, but more often than not, they disappoint. However, this is not the case at Mr. Wu's on Broadway. They consistently serve up incredibly fresh and well-cooked dishes that tantalize the tastebuds and leave you feeling very satisfied. In terms of quality, it rivals the best dumplings I've had in Asia. The restaurant is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the food court, with comfortable seating arrangements that allow for plenty of space between tables. The staff is both efficient and friendly, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
In a city where there is no shortage of great Asian cuisine, Mr Wu dishes up high standard of Chinese treats in the restaurant precinct of the Broadway Shopping Centre. Some of the highlights include the steamed pork buns and spring rolls which are...chock full of flavor and ingredients you can see and taste. While they do serve the famous soup dumpling (xiaolongbao) they unfortunately fall short especially if you are used to visiting Din Tai Fung. Notwithstanding Mr Wu is a delicious choice for lunch or dinner serving up an array of Chinese specialties.
Two of us went to have a late lunch on a Saturday within the Broadway shopping centre. We enjoyed the fried chicken and prawn spring rolls, the Xiao Bao and the spicy fried pork dumplings, and some jasmine tea. All of surprising good quality, no...line ups and plenty of tables, Mr Wu's is licensed and reasonably priced. Next time I want to try some of the main dishes which seemed very good and fresh being served at tables around me.
I went to Mr. Wu's last week for a delicious meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The service was fast and incredibly friendly. We enjoyed all of the dishes we tried, but the dumplings were particularly fantastic. The restaurant is conveniently located near the city in a shopping center that is full of delicious food options.
