Bidra med feedbackMimi 's is not for the weak heart when it comes to cost, that's safe. they can get a 'kumpe' from caviar with champagne or vodka from caviar trolley to begin their meal setting the scene for the mood of this place. beautiful, expensive facility, open kitchen view into the poor of the chef and a beautiful view at the sea (although they are unlikely to get a window table, except they 're a group.) that eating was spectacular. the grading average was mainly from the caviar scallop pipe with lemon butter jus, which and the most perfect soufflée I ever had. Look at that. the dishes were technically very difficult and worthy of a fine restaurant status. the price comes from the allure and vibe of the whole place.
Great experience and I went without expectations. Beautiful views must go lunchtime) and food was faultless except for the abalone which was overly charred and salty . Caviar pie $135) is a must try and the snacks all below $17 per piece) are delicious toro crumpet and raw beef divine). We didn’t try caviar with vodka shots and it was good decision after looking at some reactions around us
The interior design and food were amazing. However the food did take a while to come for the mains. We asked for the plate to be reheated as it had cooled down before we got the food. Also The booking was made for a birthday celebration with dietary requirements but the wait staff asked if we were celebrating anything and kept forgetting about our dietary requirements. It’s as if the booking system doesn’t sync so I didn’t get the point of putting it in the system in the first place. The menu would have been better if it had symbols for the dietary requirements e.g GFO, V, VE. It would also be awesome if they composted food scraps!
Great place for a group of friends who wanna splash some cash. Food is impeccable, staff are amazing and attentive. The place is more for a group of folks sharing plates that are exy , but well worth the coin. Not so much for an intimate dinner for two.
What it’s like eating at Mimi’s in Coogee? It will probably go down as the most extravagant, over-the-top, luxurious, and expensive meal I will ever experience in my lifetime. The food is divine. The service is immaculate. The setting is classy. The view of the ocean is prime real estate. Would I recommend it though? To be surrounded by the Real Housewives of some-such-City licking caviar off their paws, whilst eating a Roast Chicken that costs $160, and bypassing “influencers” posing in the entrance taking selfies…I’m not sure to be honest. It’s a restaurant that’s not for everyone. And depending on your financial status, the ambience can make you a little uncomfortable, but perhaps that’s the whole point of Mimi’s.
