I don’t know how I could find a stylish vietnamese restaurant in worldly suburb like Carlo. I saw this place come up months ago and it looked very different to other restaurants nearby. The kind you would find in a busy commercial district. They got high rating so I decided to dive in with my family.<br/ <br/ We got dry vegan pho and dry special combination pho and ox tail pho. Two side dishes were fried chicken fillet and nem sticks. A vietnamese coffee which I heard is different to Australian coffee.<br/ <br/ The phos were very refreshing and large in portion (they do cost more too). Special mention to the ox tail. It was so tender it falls off the bone. The meat slices in dry pho were too thick and tough. Seafood sauce went well with the fried chicken! I really enjoyed the coffee which was dripped on top of condensed milk. It had a very mellow taste and light aroma. The condensed milk made it too sweet so I would recommend getting reduced/no condensed milk. <br/ <br/ The dining hall is brightly lit and clean. Kitchen is modern and clean. Staff is friendly and food comes fast! What a fresh change of food scene here! Xihuahua must try!
Such a great place to visit when you crave a delicious bowl of pho and more.I went there with my family for a weekend lunch. They were busy with customers but service was pretty quickly.Their pho was fantastic and I also love their crispy lemongrass chicken salad bowl with spring rolls and the not-so-secret grilled pork chop with rice and egg.Portions were generous too!Glad I saved some room for desserts as they were delightful. My favourite desserts so far are the three colour drink and the avocado smoothie with black sesame ice cream. It’s worth to mention that they also have gluten-free, dairy-free and vegetarian friendly dishes.
Really nice Vietnamese restaurant along Pennant Hills Road in Carlingford.<br/ <br/ Nem Sticks $5.50), or crispy fried spring rolls, had a yummy dense filling made of pork, taro and pickled radish. I like the sauce on the side and how long the spring rolls were. Perfect to share with a friend as it comes with 2 spring rolls.<br/ <br/ Bun Ga Don $14.50) or vermicelli salad bowl with crispy lemongrass chicken was nicely presented and full of flavour, especially with the chilli fish sauce. Chicken was cooked perfectly and had a great crunchy coating which really excited me. In my opinion, there was too much vermicelli for toppings. Also, the vermicelli noodles were quite short which made them difficult to pick up with chopsticks, would recommend using a spoon too.<br/ <br/ If you'd like to read more of my reviews, please check out my zomato page and visit @cynthiaeats_ on Instagram for more photos!
