Bidra med feedbackThe place is in heart of city and near to many offices. The breakfast menu was quite good and value for money. The coffee was excellent and perfect blend and very well represented. I had sunny side up with toast and my colleague had smashed Avocado with poached eggs on sourdough .Food 5/5Service 5/5
Came by for a coffee and a quick snack. I ordered the smashed avocado. Was an absolute delight and customer service did not disappoint. Will definitely return the next time I am around.
Needed a pick me up in the afternoon and this was close by. There was quite a queue of people even in the afternoon. Think everyone seemed to have the same idea! The guys behind the counter were quick at handling the queue and got through everyone's order efficiently. I had an Almond Friand and a Mocha. They use Toby's Estate Coffee. Both were nice.<br/ <br/ edited 04APR18 <br/ <br/ Visited here again for lunch with a workmate and service was lovely. We both the Lamb And Rosemary Broken Pie. It was slow braised lamb topped on mashed potato topped with a butter pastry. Absolutely delightful and a nice take on a deconstructed pie. Loved the flavours and very hearty.
In the uptown oasis, just below the palm trees that dominate Phillip Street (South Exit from Martin Place) you'll see the signs of the NEW MENU they unveiled recently! 8 new additions to the menu for summer and not enough of us to try them all but boy the four that we had were pretty impressive. You probably already know Bond Cafe for the epic wine bar at night with its extensive range of red, white, sparkling bubbles or may have been lucky enough to sample some treats from the catering menu they have. By day – I had no idea – seats up to 126 people and has a pretty awesome menu of Modern Italian with traces of Mediterranean – very cool!<br/ <br/ Protein, Crunch, Burst goes the CHICKEN SALAD which is a leafy compound of cos, chives, cucumber with colourful accents using horse radish and jewel-like pomegranate seeds. The Red Wine vinigarette binds it all together and is the perfect answer to a light lunch full of superfood nutrition!<br/ <br/ PULLED PORK is the new in-thing appearing in many places right now and also Hospitality Magazine's prediction late last year as one of the biggest 2016 food trends (rolls I think they predicted). Bond serves this toasted sandwich with a picked apple slaw with the juices from the meat and fruit creating a delicious moistener and gravy with each bite – actually maybe use your knife fork for this one – it does get messy! <br/ <br/ Need something a bit more challenging? Then take on the 300g SCOTCH FILLET grain fed steak which is absolutely positively cooked flawlessly with charred cos lettuce, tomato, asparagus sitting on a red wine jus. Definitely one of my favorites!<br/ <br/ The winner for me though is the LINGUINI which they do with luscious crab!!! The pasta is wider than spaghetti but not as fat as fettucine so when the flavours of crab and their dressing of chilli, tomato and olive oil come together they've struck gold here! It's breathtaking, not too heavy and a nice summer dish with a nice rocket lettuce crunch weaved through....<br/ <br/ The service was efficient with all staff very aware of who and what was going on at each table, we were on a strict work lunch hour and there was an approximate wait time of 10-17mins from ordering which is an ideal destination for a quick lunch that's a little bit more refined!
Popular cafe suitable for business meetings and lunches. Friendly and switched on staff. Prawn and scallops skewers with fregola, peas, chives and tomato $18) was quite a nice, light and tasty dish. Three prawns and two scallops served on skewers — would have been nice if there were three scallops though to match the prawns. I've had a decent coffee here and noticed some baked goodies to tempt.
