Trentuno - Swords

I got a takeaway from here when it opened, the food was ok, but both Camille Thai and Sanuk both offer a better quality takeway. Sad that what has been a restaurant on the main street for many years and in many guises is now closed, hopefully someone else takes it on. Trentuno Mastersons the very very shortlived Ko San.

I was never hugely impressed when it was Mastersons (The Old Schoolhouse do a better steak) and now that they're trying their hand at Thai, I'm equally apathetic. Everything is OK. That's it. Nothing special. I found the crispy pork belly to be tooth-breakingly hard, but the flavour was nice. Bit too pricey for what you get. Been to the Pink Elephant many times and can't fault it.

I went with a group of friends and was extremely impressed with the welcoming staff, excellent service, and delicious food.

The staff at this restaurant were incredibly friendly and engaged with the children. Our server was prompt with drinks and attentive without hovering. The food arrived quickly and was extremely tasty, especially the chicken wings. I suggest they consider having a chicken wings and wine night! The only downside was the atmosphere; the dim lighting made it feel more like a pub than a restaurant during the daytime. I recommend they reconsider the lighting and music to improve the overall ambiance.

Ko San is simply the best Asian restaurant we’ve been to. Whilst we nibbled on the prawn crackers with a satay dip, we looked over the menu and wine list. (The prawn crackers are great by the way. From the starters, try the Vietnamese rice paper rolls amazing taste and texture! The Thai yellow curry with chicken was simply delicious the best we’ve eaten anywhere! For dessert we had the Taro Thai coconut custard cake with pandan ice cream so tasty! There’s so much to like about Ko San. The service is friendly, efficient and well paced. The food is well presented, with good portion sizes and best of all, the flavours are amazing! Everything about the food points to a great chef! We couldn’t recommend this restaurant highly enough fabulous!
