Bidra med feedbackHad lunch at Pocono Manor Golf Club today after golf. My husband I had the turkey club , it was delicious. Our other two partners had a cheeseburger and fries sausage peppers sandwich. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their lunches. I got to try the fries, cooked seasoned perfectly. (Steak cut). I would highly recommend stopping in for lunch.
I was excited to here based on the beautiful website, but was sadly disappointed by my experience. There seemed to be large family reunions that reserved certain areas of the place (no signage anywhere, so we got yelled at by one family when we stumbled upon their reserved lodge). Condition (2/5): the hotel, which is on the National Historic Registry, had a long, proud history. Sadly, it needs an update. Our air conditioning in our room was so loud we couldn 't hear each other over the din and had to shut our bathroom door, the squeaking was so loud. The water dripped out of the faucet and it kept going from hot to cold, often without warning. Service (3/5): Every one I met was friendly. We really appreciated the service at The Lamplighter lounge (separate review). However, the staff didn 't seem interested in cleaning the place up, for example, we wanted to swim in the pool, but there was trash everywhere. Value (2/5): For $200 for a small, cramped room not in great condition, seemed not great. For a resort , there was not much to do. Food options were only the bar (Lamplighter Lounge) or the $13 breakfast buffet or $39 four course meal for dinner.
Location 4*: beautiful with surrounding mountain view. Property 3 4 star i found it decent and luv the room . Rooms r not the same my room was spacious and my friends was ok size This is a family property and depending where ur room is expect noise of people and kids running.... Staffs r friendly Cost 5* paying $159 for a weekend getaway is awesome. What u pay is worth. Food 3 4* weekend dinner buffet for $20 is quite reasonable. Room for improvements I wish the checkin could be made 1pm instead of 4 coz by the time u checkin its already dark outside during winter. Pls bring ur water coz they charge $3 per bottle of water which i think its ridiculous ...but then they charge $4 for tuna sandwich...which is reasonable.. didn't make any sense Pet : ridiculous fee $105 . when i booked through aggregator (hotel.com i think) it said pet friendly . In my exp its free or u pay $25 $50 for entire say ...but charges here was insane. So overall based on location and being a seasonal property ...i think its a 4* experience
We attended for a company trip-it coincided with one wedding and a different family's wedding rehearsal dinner. THEY DID NOT PREPARE FOR US. Half of us waited to get a room. Also, NO WIFI OR SIGNAL IF YOU DONT STAY IN MAIN BUILDING! Which led to a panic attack when I couldn't reach family. No WiFi...seriously? Front desks only option was to come to the main building, hook up to WiFi and see if it'll stay when you reach your hotel room. Also, CENTIPEDE ON OUR PILLOW. I took a zoomed in photo because I am not getting close to that. We slept in my car that night.
I had a beautiful time at the Inn this past Labor Day weekend with my boyfriend. We stayed for 2 days, 1 night and it felt like a MUCH longer trip! There's soooo much to do at the resort in the area), it's a nice clean place to stay the staff are so kind helpful. For starters, we were upgraded for free to a beautiful King size corner room 268) with an amazing view of the mountains. We watched the sun rise for a bit and were completely in awe. The indoor outdoor pool were both large and clean and we went to both! So much fun. The pool bar drinks were great too. We visited both hiking trails and got lost on one which was hilarious). The signs need to be updated a bit. We checked out archery, the golf areas, the horse stables, and ate off the manor most times. Except when we had lunch at the pub wings a club sandwich) which we both enjoyed! Breakfast lunch are pricey so we had food elsewhere. Very relaxing, romantic, we definitely plan to come again. We also went to a bowling alley nearby which was cheap and had a great Sunday night deal I'll review that after. Overall I give it 4 stars.
