News Café - Swakopmund

News Cafe has a long and varied menu. I have been there a number of times for breakfast and it is poorly supported with slow service. The Aviary Coffee Shop across the passage is obviously competition and it is normally well patronised. There's got to be a reason....I have not been to News Cafe for lunch or supper and maybe it is busier then.

Staff are welcoming customers in a polite manner with is good and treating you well

Awesome vibes, great cocktails and one very specific breakfast, the Mexican Sunrise, makes this a must go cafe ! The music they play adds to the party vibes and the staff are also very friendly!

The food was really good, but the service was just bad kept bringing wrong food to our table an continued doing that to other customers as well. Also by the time the food reached our table it was a bit cold, it was fixed but it didn't really feel as appetizing anymore. Also it took almost half an hour for the cold food to be heated up again. I think some of these problems can be resolved by maybe getting numbers for the tables.

We just ate here and I would not recommend it. Instead, try the neighboring cafe Aviary Coffee? The service was ok, though slightly slower than ideal. But the food was not good at all. Our nachos were soggy with fake cheese and guacamole. The sandwich that was meant to come with rocket had one very small picture. The hot chocolate was a bright spot on an otherwise disappointing lunch
