Le Cafetier - Sutton

I adore the atmosphere of this cafe. This was my first time trying a cold coffee...a cafe frappe, and I shared a delicious carrot cake with my boyfriend. It was excellent! However, their hours have been reduced due to Covid and staffing issues, so we didn't make it in time for our usual coffee fix. Luckily, we were still able to grab our cold coffees before heading home. We will definitely return the next time we're in Sutton!

Good meal, not too expensive! We found this restaurant on our route. It was worth it! The Poke Bowl is really good.

We went skiing and stopped at this restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast menu was extensive and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was very friendly and the staff were welcoming.

Le Cafetier is a wonderful spot for breakfast. During our stay in Sutton, we enjoyed a discount on breakfast at Le Cafetier thanks to Auberge Sutton Brouërie. The eggs and toast were delicious, as was the coffee. The homemade jam was a highlight, although we wished we could take some home in jars (it is available for purchase, but must be stored in the fridge).

My wife and i took a trip to Canada this September. We flew into Montreal, rented a car and drove to Sutton in Quebec province. We stayed in an Airbnb at about $90/night. We had breakfast at Le Cafetier each of the 3 mornings we were there. Good food, refill your coffee, friendly staff. When you come in find a table and sit down, they come to you. When your ready to pay just go up to the register and they have your ticket. We visited all but 1 of the Louise Penny inspirational stops: Standbridge East, Sutton, Sutton Junction, Knowlton, Saint-Benoit-du-Lackey, North Hatley and the Hovey Manor. The longest trip we had seeing these sights was about an hour or so . The roads were good and scenery great. The people were friendly but know that some areas may only have French which was fine. They were helpful. We also visited some wineries , tastings were $1 per taste, about $7 for a glass of wine. I highly recommend a trip like this.
