Agriturismo Ca' Guerriera - SUSTINENTE

My husband and I acquired a Groupon for this locale and hoped to celebrate our anniversary. We live 2 1/2 hours away from Sustinente, and while we were driving, I (an American), realized I had forgotten my passport (a prerequisite in European hotels), but had my driver 's license with me....unfortunately expired by a few days (my birthday was during my vacation). The Groupon promised a scenic area with lots of castles and sightseeing. LIE!!! ???? The nearest castle was half an hour away and CLOSED because of an earthquake. The owner of the hotel actually woke us up at home at 7:30am that morning wanting to know what time we were to arrive. ???? We agreed upon a time, but when we arrived, the locale was closed up tight as a drum. ????Several phone calls later revealed that she had forgotten all about us, and would be an HOUR late! ???? She told us to go to the pool......it was 65 degrees farenheit and raining! ???? We looked for the nearest bar.....half an hour away.....where they referred to the owner as The Contessa . When she did finally show up to check us in, I immediately informed her of the problem with my passport/driver 's license. This woman began screaming her head off....and did not stop SCREAMING at us for a good 15 minutes!!! She accused us of lying about who we were, and about being legally married. She threatened to call the police, and then CALLED the police to verify who we were. At a certain point, I couldn 't take anymore, and started to cry. This horrible woman just LAUGHED at me and said Honey, you can cry all you want....I could care less! That was it for me. I looked at my husband and said Babe, I 'm sorry we 've wasted all this money for a Groupon and gas, but I don 't want to stay here! .....and so we left. Her husband begged us to stay, but who would want to suffer an entire night with such a HORRIBLE person? Some people just should NEVER work in the hospitality industry....and this woman is definitely one of those people! I can only feel sorry for her husband, and the hell that he must suffer through every day married to her! Lessons Learned: Never trust Groupon Italia....they are not honest! And 2) NEVER EVER GO TO AGRITOURISMO CA GUERRIERA!!!!!!

We spent a night here last week, the owner was really nice and helpful when we asked for info...not too far from Mantova and the room is huge!peaceful place for a weekend getaway!
