Bidra med feedbackI always enjoy dining at this restaurant. Salam, the owner, is a character in himself. While some may find him offensive, he is truly great for the rest of us. The sandwiches he serves are exceptional and for only $8, the value cannot be beat. I couldn't even purchase the ingredients for that price.
The restaurant is owned by a friendly older man with a mature sense of humor. It's recommended to try whatever sandwich he suggests, but he will also cater to vegetarians. The sandwich I had was so big it could have been three meals. Be sure to tip generously as he charges too little for what you receive. Cash is the only form of payment accepted.
What an amazing human!. At first it was like a scene out of a Seinfeld episode. Then I got to know him and heard some of his life stories Don't bother asking for something specific just let the man do his thing and you won't be disappointed. The sandwiches are unreal!! Also had some really good mustards and herring you can purchase.
All I have to say is, LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THESE SANDWICHES!!!! I have been going to this place now for 15+ years off and on and I still can’t get enough of this place. Keep in mind, you have to be warned once stepping in as this shop isn’t for the faint of heart, if you don’t have a good sense of humor, then you probably don’t belong here. There is a parental advisory sticker on the outside of the door for a reason. The owner definitely likes to joke around as he has a great sense of humor and enjoys life to the fullest as you can see from the passion he has for making great sandwiches. This is definitely a spot to stop for lunch at least once in your life if you’re anywhere near the port kells area. Ps. You will be blown away by the price here
Love this deli. Salam is the best!! Come for a sandwich and get a comedy show at the same time. The comedy is of an adult nature so if you offend easily you can always go to subway instead. Salam is also an incredible humanitarian and I have helped him feed thousands of needy people. At least once a month Salam and his loyal customers get together to make 800+ lunches for the less fortunate. I would give six stars if I could. Oh and his sandwiches are fantastic too, bring a big appetite.
