Bengali's Fish N' Curry - Punjabi Style

A friend inquired about the new location of the Bengali restaurant, so I wanted to share my thoughts. The owner is a personal friend of mine and I frequently dine there. One aspect that I particularly appreciate about this restaurant is its immaculately clean kitchen, which is a refreshing contrast to the often dirty kitchens found in many Indian restaurants.

The restaurant's efforts are appreciated, but the authentic taste of West Bengal is lacking. Bengalies are renowned for their fish curry, and even their desserts are more satisfying at a Punjabi sweet shop. The meal was decent, but it veered more towards a Punjabi flavor profile.

I miss having Bengali food. It was the next best thing that felt authentic in British Columbia. Sadly, the restaurant has closed down. I'll have to find a new place to satisfy my cravings.

They are trying but the taste of West Bengal is missing . Bengalies are famous for their fish curry. Even the Bengali desserts are better at a Punjabi sweet show. It was okay but but food tasted more Punjabi!
