Bidra med feedbackA little in lima, but it was worth, service and eating were just the right portions abs the kitchen was excellent. so far my best eating experience from this trip
We came here for a Birthday celebration looking for something different. Amazonian food is still very difficult to find in Lima. The patacones were incredible, the cecina/tacu tacu plate was very tasty and the chafa amazonica lacked a bit of flavour. The portions were generous...and it definitely was nice to have something different than standard 'Limenian ' fare. One great thing for the price (about S 35 per entree) the service here was incredibly on point! We were waited on by two younger guys who were very hospitable, personable, etc something that is a foreign concept in restaurants in Lima. I 'd return just for the service!
It seems as if the owners do fantastic work in the promotion of the restaurant. it is good, but definitiw not in top ten under limas places. good and friendly service, but very average in terms of food quality and raffinesse, as it is currently positioned
This place has a very interesting menu with some meat choices. good service, very nice local and inexpensive. recommended.
Mar y Selva is a small place offering a variety of Peruvian food. I could not choose so I started with the causa acevichada, which was brilliant, and patacones en salsa especial. The salsa, yet again, was brilliant, while the patacones lacked some crispness. Finally,...I had the tacu tacu en picante de marisco. As I have not had this before I don't know how it's supposed to be. That said I was slightly disappointed. It looked great but lacked a bit in taste.
