Waxbar - Superior Charter Township

Andy and Morgan both did a wonderful job, the atmosphere of this place is absolutely gorgeous, a blend of shadowy bellow and old lighted signs. standard Piná Colada is absolutely incredible. Will be coming back.

The new owner is cool, but the other girl behind the bar (not his partner shes cool af) is not great, and this is not the only time ive had a problem with her. Came in just now, ordered a boulevardier and she immediately walked away- not giving me a chance to say anything let alone which bourbon i wanted, and i tried to get her attention to ask for antico (which I 100% dont mind paying more for) but she either didnt hear me or ignored me and added punt e mes (which I despise) and slid it over. I dont want to give one star because the place is cool.

Fun little hole in the wall bar with great cocktails. Normally when I 'm at a place like this, I expect service that is a little aloof and too cool for customers.The bartender was very welcoming and kind, I definitely look forward to coming back here.

The best bar in Ann Arbor is actually here at WaxBar in Ypsilanti. If you liked the old tiki bar vibe you won’t miss out, but now they’ll make you anything else you can imagine and it’ll be better than what you’ll get elsewhere because Andy and Morgan are alchemists with your best interests in mind. Wonderful place! Don’t miss it!
