Happy Wok - Sunrise

I had the pleasure to visit this local hidden jewel of Sunrise Restaurant after reading Rave reviews online from other customers. I was in the area that went home, and I told myself why not stop by and see how the food is. This is a typical hole in the wall family operation, so here is my honest review. I often want to visit new local companies and give them some urgently needed support. However, I cannot say that food meets all my expectations. I understand cooking restaurants to meet the general taste of the public and cannot suit any individual taste. I'll say the lady who answered the phone and the front door was very nice. The contactless pickup window was a little strange (think to a bank speaker, where you open a little door to your product and a small opening to put the money) but was acceptable given the pandemic times the owners are trying to mitigate. The fried rice smells great and had a lot of meat. The taste was a solid A with a clean light soy sauce taste that was not excessive. I think the chef made the court. The next item I ordered were boneless ribs, but I think they gave me cut pork instead of the meat had zero fat at all. The taste was OK, I would tell the legmaster to put a little more sugar in the sauce. Udon noodles with pork was too salty for my taste, and would have used more vegetables, again my personal preference. Moo schu pork was good, lots of vegetables and meat. I think it would be better if they used authentic Moo Shiu pancakes instead of tortilla wrappers, but I think it's hard to store and authentic items all time. Chicken wings were also very tasteful and filled with crispy, but I think the oil pan master didn't work today, otherwise he would have known to change the oil. The dough tasted a little old. Finally, the Mongolian beef had coated a lot of beef with some onions and scalions in a medium spicy sauce that was quite good. Another dish made by the master chef. No bad place. Could they make improvements? Sure. I hope that if the owner or who has read this review on this point, I noticed that I referenced some other reviewers and this was a slight contribution to highlight some finer points of this establishment.

The first order from here was very impressed since I was from Jersey. Food was AMAZING. Not only the food, but the part for its price. The wings, shrimps fried rice! Everything was amazing.

Huge fan of the place. Great service, the restaurant owners and the servers are super nice. Your food is some of the best I had in the area. My favourite is chicken with broccoli and pepper shrimps. I have already recommended the place to all my friends and they all love him! Very recommended!!!

Customer service is amazing! The woman on the phone was very patient as I had so many questions about ingredients and cooking style. We ordered 5 comb dishes and the total amount was only $56. The food was fresh and delicious and not too salty what we all appreciate. Only know when you order shrimp and lobster, the sauce is white, not trust. I get used to the Northwest style lobster sauce with ground pork. Apart from that, the food was great. Will definitely order again.

We ordered here for the first time yesterday. This place exceeded my expectations. Not only was the food absolutely delicious, the portions are plenty! The prices are great so you really get incredible value for your money. The customer service was very welcoming and efficient. I will definitely be going back!
