Pezzella's Villa Napoli - Sunnyvale

I've been frequenting Pezzellas for 17 years. Having transplanted form NY originally, this is the best and most authentic east coast Italian food I've found hear in the Bay area. Everyone I've recommended it to, have equally enjoyed the food.

There are a variety of options on the menu and daily specials are available as well. The portion sizes are large and the staff is welcoming. It remains a top choice for families.

I enjoyed the atmosphere and wanted to enjoy the food as well. However, the chicken piccata I ordered was bland and the pasta was not impressive. Hopefully, they can improve their menu to match the great ambiance.

The quality of the food has declined compared to previous visits. There were few customers, indicating a potential decline in popularity. The hostess wore an overpowering perfume that was quite distracting. This is particularly disappointing in a dining establishment.

Making reservations was very easy on line. I did call up a couple days later and added five more people to the date. They were very accommodating. This was a surprise birthday party and the staff went out of their way to make it a personable experience for the birthday person. The setting was perfect. The staff very friendly and professional. The food was exquisite. Out of 10 people, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, very flavorful!!! Our overall experience was very very satisfying. Thanks to the staff and cooks!
