Bidra med feedbackReally good experience with the mono and laphing. The spicy will give you a good kick.
My fried chicken momos were delicious!! Also felt like it was a great portion size, especially for that price. Saw some complaints about hours, but I can let you know that they were open at 8 pm on a Monday! The sauces are tiny so I would recommend they get standard sized sauce containers rather than the tiny ones. Also, after I ordered, they informed me they couldn’t take credit cards. Their menu says that they do, and no one mentioned it before I ordered, so that was a bit of a surprise! Definitely let people know that before they order, not after. It might have just been temporarily down but double check if you don’t have cash or venmo.
Would be a 5 star place if they listed the correct hours and days online. Nothing worse than walking there hoping to get food and it either not being there or it being closed.
At one point in time, this was the only momo truck in all of Sunnyside. Mom's had already made their mark in nearby Jackson Heights, but this additional truck was stationed along 44th Strreet just off Queens Blvd. They were mainstay prior to the pandemic and have been around sporadically ever since. The truck is probably one of the nicer ones I've seen. It's bright, inviting, and has visuals for novices to Tibetan Himalayan cuisine. The menu is pretty simple, as they usually only serve steamed $6) or fried momos $7), which came in 8 per order. They would also offer things like summer rolls and pork buns, but I found they either ran out or didn't have them available each time I came here. The momos are definitely the items to get and I personally prefer them steamed. They're quite good and just as hearty though not cheaper) than the ones found in JH. I enjoy beef the most, but chicken and veggie are definitely a close second. Another thing that makes this food truck semi-unique is that they accept credit cards. I haven't encountered too many trucks serving this kind of food that offer this, in addition to venmo and debit as forms of payment. The guy who runs the truck is pretty nice and I do hope they continue to serve Sunnyside. While there are plenty of momo options in nearby establishments, there certainly aren't any street side options like Mom's.
Great veggie momos; I enjoyed the steamed and fried equally. Just wish there were more sauce options, the hot sauce that came on the side was a tad spicy for me. Fyi they also had a sign that they take both card and venmo!
