Went for afternoon tea with the ladies food was fresh, homemade, no skimping in portions and delicious. I’ve been for many afternoon teas and this was the best yet. Staff are friendly and the place is comfortable and clean. Definitely going back to try the other afternoon tea options. There were cheese scones and more sandwiches but we’d already started eating.

We received this gift from our dear friend Lisa for Christmas. We collected it today and there is a lot of food which was fresh, tasty, looked inviting and very very enjoyable.

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast at Nanny G's this morning. She is lovely and warm-hearted, always giving a warm welcome to customers of all ages. I must also mention that the cakes she makes are truly amazing - all hand-made and perfect for special occasions like birthdays. I recently got a rainbow sprinkle cake with a fondant print for my birthday, and it was delicious. I didn't want to share, but I had to. Definitely recommend Nanny G's. - Amber, 12 years old.

I visited this restaurant yesterday for my daughter-in-law's hen party, where we enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea. The staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. I requested a slimming world-friendly option, and they were happy to oblige. The homemade and fresh food was delicious, and the 12.50 we paid, which included a glass of prosecco, was well worth it.

Just been for the best afternoon tea ever at Nanny Gs Tearoom Hilton Road Sunderland. Food was amazing we got Nanny Gs original afternoon tea £12.50 and Grandad Gs afternoon tea £14.50. Mountains of food and freshly made and warmed. Staff were amazing and cafe was beautiful. Couldn't fault a thing defiantly will be going back 5*
