Bidra med feedbackWe came here hungry after a magnificent bike tour and we were not disappointed. the service was very friendly and fast. the nudelsuppen were really delicious and very valuable at nt 80. our vegetarian sohn has torn off the dried radish omelet, which must have at least 4 eggs. my partner and I, both vegan, shared parts of the handmade mapo tofu and the touch friend king oyster mushrooms. the taste was great in both court had a lot of ginger, the mushrooms had beautiful fresh basilikum and the chili in the tofu was not overpowered. we rolled out there with our wallets nt 760 more easily not the cheapest meal in taiwan, but very affordable in comparison to home, and absolutely worth it.
This restaurant has a very good range of vegetarian dishes, most of which are vegan. They have a separate vegetarian menu in Chinese and English with lots of vegetable dishes, as well as tofu dishes, rice, noodles, and soups. As others have said, the food is quite simple and the portions generous. The tofu dishes all use silken tofu, which I’m not such a fan of, and I found the ones I tried the sizzling tofu and the tofu in black bean sauce a bit bland. The vegetable dishes were much better, with flavourful crunchy vegetables. The fern salad with a mustardy dressing was really excellent – definitely worth trying!
This restaurant is very much open. Just two doors down from the ShuiShe visitor center. Large taste portions. It's new name is Shan Wu.
As for April 2018, it is still open. Very good local food. Portions are big be mindful of this and do not order too much. I ordered two dishes and left almost half of each.
The place is very simple but the food is really fresh and good. The 'meatballs' in the soup were amazing. Plus, the price is good for being such a touristic place. They have a notebook with all the menu translated in english so it's great.
