The chicken is really good, but the accompaniments are not, the rice and beans taste very strange

Ordered ghost pepper wings last night. They were dark dark dark brown and flavor wasn’t right. Overcooked or old oil or both? Had the same item last week at a different Popeye’s that was excellent. I went through at around 6pm. There were two cars in front of me. The Woman attending the drive-thru was very pleasant, but obviously overwhelmed. They seemed to have a major staffing issue. It looked like they only had 3 people working during the evening rush. My food was fine, but it took me 30 minutes to get it. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20
