Bidra med feedbackWent to Silkscarf, must say we were a little turned off when we walked in. We were told of the tasting fee immediately and were told we were limited to choices as well, can't recall if it was three or four. My wife opted out but I wanted to give it a try anyways. So much for the warm and fuzzy greeting that one would expect (lady server). The Shiraz Viognier was good but I didn't really get a feel for anything else, maybe something else I didn't pick from my limited choice was the one. I went ahead with the purchase reluctantly and almost paid the tasting fee instead for the first time in over 40 visits to Okanagan wineries. Was pricey at around $35. I think I'll stick to Oliver/Osoyoos wineries, much better reds at reasonable prices.
Small little place with a small selection of wine, but the owner was so lovely that we very much enjoyed our wine tasting experience. There are many wineries in the area and it's worth a stop.
Friendly hosts and excellent wine make this a must stop on the bottleneck drive wine tour in Summerland!
This was an unplanned stop and we are so glad we did stop. The wine was out of this world. Pricey compared to some places but worth every penny. We bought three bottles and I can not recommend this place enough.
My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Silkscarf during our wine tasting. The intimate tasting room had a charming and cozy atmosphere, with breathtaking views of the valley. The host, who was also the wine maker, was very knowledgeable and gracious, answering all of our questions about the expertly crafted wines. We couldn't resist buying a case of the elegant Chardonnay. We can't wait to visit Silkscarf again the next time we are in the area.
