Bidra med feedbackThis was a real find. We were visiting the area for the first time and found this when researching. We visited for Sunday Lunch on a hot sunny day, after driving through beautiful countryside. The pub is not a clone of all those that have been modernised and look identical, but the food was excellent. Everything home made and delicious. I had the venison pie, and my husband had roast pork. The best he's ever tasted! We shared a dessert as we were so full, that was delicious as well. David the owner was welcoming, and takes such pride in his offering. We were interested to see they hold music evenings, something for future visits. We hope to return next year, but in the meantime would recommend this to anyone who enjoys their food and wants value for money.
First time at this wonderful place I can't rate this high enough. Food was absolutely delicious plus dessert. Loved the chef so friendly and was so nice to see how much he loves serving he's delicious food and the passion he has Staff also very friendly Will definitely be back Pink Sue Thanks for a lovely afternoon xxx
Fantastic Sunday lunch, great staff and good value. The puddings were amazing. Will be coming again only wish I lived closer.
Great little place, with a superb carvery lunch, David, clearly is very passionate about his food and it doesn't disappoint. a superb array of dishes, and whilst at £25.00 per head, its probably the best £25.00 you will spend on food. What sets the pub apart from other eateries is the staff, always happy, willing to chat and looked happy to be there, unfortunately that cannot be said about a large number of eateries these days!
Another fabulous Sunday lunch. Very welcoming on a cold, wet day! So nice to be with happy staff who can’t do more for their customers.
