Bidra med feedbackLooking for somewhere to eat in (what appeared to be ghost town) Subi after the footy, Santa Fe was the first place we came across and who doesn't love Mexican! Inside was relatively full but we were happy to take a table outside. One of my friends is pregnant and they brought a blanket out for her as it was cold, which was very thoughtful! Our food and drink orders were taken quickly and soon arrived. The margarita pitcher was great value for money and went down easily. Between our party, we ordered tacos, quesadillas, chili con queso and the chicken pineapple burger. Portion sizes were apt and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Minor criticisms: $3 for a side of chorizo consisted of 3 itty pieces, the salsa to accompany the tacos was a bit watery and no split billing allowed. Other than that, we were pleased and I would come back!
Went for dinner here on a Sunday night. We arrived a few minutes before 8 o'clock and sat down and ordered our food straight away. The meals felt very rushed, our mains arrived just as we were finishing our entre. As we were eating our mains they turned off the music, blew out all the candles and started sweeping the floors around us. We finished our meals and they took our plates and came and put a bill on our table straight after. We then informed them that we were actually wanting to order deserts and they informed us that the kitchen was fully closed and this wasn't possible. At this stage it was hardly reaching 9pm so we had barely been there an hour and were rushed out. The food and drinks we had were great but service was lacking seeing as we were basically pushed out of the restaurant and weren't asked if we wanted any deserts tea or coffee before the kitchen closed....
With the death of Subiaco I can't help feel that this place suffered a little, week nights are real average and a gohst town with the Kitchen closing early. I love the poppers here and its really one of my all time favourites plus the Margaritas are decent too. The food overall was decent but I really had buyers remorse considering the prices. The chilli con carne was only a small serving presented in a deep fried tortilla which took up half the plate. Sides of beans and rice were cold and looked like it was dished up 12 hours earlier. I really enjoyed this place 5 or so years ago but not really sure of I just caught them in a bad night.
Waiters were for forgetful, had to remind them multiple times for multiple things. drinks came well after food arrived. margarita was so weak I couldn't taste the tequila and wasn't made with real lime juice. food was overpriced, try $16 for a tiny bowl of average guacamole, and some corn chips. rest of food was really bad. $130 for a quick family of 4 meal. seemed to be full of mainly very young people.
Amazing food, amazing drinks and amazing service. I come to this restaurant regularly and absolutely love it everyone time can't fault anything. You will not find another Tex/Mex restaurant like this in Perth. Highly recommended
