Bidra med feedbackAfter being in Germany for a month, I could not wait to come back to GiGi's! The food and service never disappoints! My husband and I enjoyed another fabulous meal. Despite this night being booked for a baptismal celebration, GiGi fitted us in and served a stellar meal. My husband started with a pear topped with warm tomino cheese and speck. I had the bruschetta with mushrooms surrounded by salumi from would pig and deer. For the first course, we shared fettuccine di solina with grilled eggplant, zucchini, and tomato and smoked ricotta Splendid flavor, fresh, and light! For the second course, we split a filet of scottona (Kind of cut from a Virgin cow) with bio olive oil and sea salt melted in your mouth and served with broccolini. We ended with a chocolate cake with fondant inside and a nut crust absolutely decadent! Thank you GiGi for another fabulous meal and special night!
The locals refer to the restaurant affectionately as GiGi's after the proprietor. I've been coming here for over 3 years and have never been disappointed. It is my husband (a local Italian and I's favorite restaurant. Tonight, we ate superbly again. We started with a succulent appetizer of tomino (italian cheese melted with pieces of pear and speck and drizzled with honey. This was followed by spinach ravioli stuffed with ricotta, accompanied with a cheese sauce of formaggio di fossa with zest of lemon. Normally, the second is the tagliata with rosemary an oil, but tonight we thought to try a fillet. GiGi shock his head and said tagliata , so to try something different we decided to try it with balsamic vinegar and arugala... Never had I have a steak melt so beautifully in my mouth. It is not just the meal that is always amazing, but the service is excellent as well. Of course, GiGi never makes a wrong recommendation! It was delightful to have the Montefalco, as we enjoyed visiting the vineyard as part of our anniversary vacation. Grazie GiGi for another perfect date night with my husband!
A nice find just a few minutes from the town center. The service was friendly and attentive and we loved the pasta cacio e pepe served directly from the cheese wheel.
This restaurant is very well maintained, with very nice furniture and great service and food. The owner, Gigi, always treated me very nicely, cooking great, local food, with a touch of haute cuisine. Lots of wines to pair with food, as well. I never left the restaurant disappointed. 100% guaranteed by a well travelled local!
Stopped here for a three course lunch during a visit to Rome excellent food and wine and not too expensive for city centre. You need at least three days to go around and see everything this city has to offer could have stayed there
