Bidra med feedbackAs one of my personal quirks with ethnic food, I like to eat o where the locals eat. In Texas I found our little China and I'm the only Anglo to eat there. The food is spectacular, but very different from the local white...sustainability of Chinese food. Casa China was full of Asians and I had a good idea, it would be good. And it was delicious. It's a bit expensive for Colombia. For Europeans and North Americans, it cost exactly right.. 4 of us ate tons of food and our bill was $200,000.. approx. $70 USD. Service was great, the Mongolian BBQ is all you can eat. No complaints... It was not like Little China in Arlington, TX, but I will definitely go back and I was finally happy to find a place where most Asians filled the restaurant.
Good food, good service, cheap. Combi dinner for 2, 3, and 4 plus people are offered.
We were surprised to find this cute chinese restaurant in the ritzy Zona G area of bogota near where we stayed. Our family desperate for chinese cuisine (we are ethnically taiwanese) we walked in expecting very bad chinese food. The owner was taiwanese and actually...had a separate menu for chinese(though there are not many chinese in the area). Three dishes we tried: stir fried vegetable (spinach), seared tofu (hong shao), and a chicken with mushroom dish. The dishes were solid, well cooked, and what you would expect in a standard chinese restaurant in the States . Was this the most amazing food i have ever had? of course not, but for a city with such few chinese people, i have to admit i was pretty impressed. Food was pricey (even with strong dollar US, amounts were similar to what you would pay in the states). quantities though were more non-chinese meaning large quantities. service was good. very attentive. ask for the authentic chinese menu, or at least let the waiters and owners know you want the authentic stuff. menu is only listed in chinese so if you can't read, then they will need to help. we have a few more days left here in bogota, so likely will go again.
