Bidra med feedbackWhen I ask my Greek colleagues what Greek is recommended, the MezeMeze in Bad Cannstadt is mentioned regularly. And regularly I don't remember in time, or I'm too far away. But this time it was both. It was just the question whether we could get a place or whether we had to do with a plan B. Plan B was already well placed when my wife tried again (before opening hours by phone to ask a place. “We will be able to have a place for two,” was the answer. Driving to Stuttgart on Saturday night is somehow more pleasant than the hour on the working day. There is even a multi-lane road and not just sheet and brake lights... And so we arrived at the house exactly at 5:00 and got one of the few parking spaces on the farm. At least on the side street in front of the house I had never seen a parking lot. At the counter, on which one runs after the passage of a well-cleaned windfall, a Lord greeted us in everyday clothes, but with natural radiation: they come only over me at your place. Yeah, he greeted us. Friendly, but not as warm as it is in some places in Greeks. We were here for dinner and not for cuddling. At the end of a long central table our home was for the next and a half hours. The table was interrupted twice by disguised columns and thus gave us a certain intimacy for us, even with later completion. In general, it could be liked in space, although it was also high and a track too cool. For further excavations with dust and eye-catching and the like, I refer to the pictures. The menus were already in the form of a DIN A3 sheet as a table set. The Gyros Emergency Security is not offered in the house. But even so the menu gave enough space to be satisfied. I still looked like my wife. Please try the “eat like a greek” more and more clearly. An offer that was valid for two people and gave the kitchen the choice. EAT like a GREEK! To make it easier for you. They give us your taste – meat or fish. We make the rest for you. 50€ for two people. All right. For some reason we chose meat, so explicitly no fish. And we were looking forward to Chmackofatzos Hellenis, Meze and the like. And just like the housewarb: traditional Greek cuisine. Or what we imagined below? We were surprised. Then Alsbald began. A salad plate with tomato salad came to the table. Garnish with onions, olives, peperoni and various herbs. Great! Tomato salad this season! And so they tasted. In addition, only the trace of a simple vinegar and oil dressing was found in the salad. The start was nix. In the same step to the salad came a Pita and Zaziki. Better. The Pita loosely airy, warm and finely seasoned with olive oil and oregano. Now it was an arrangement for two people. I'd like the Pita to be shared at least. The rather less sharp knives then produced this rather badly than correctly. The Zaziki was okay. Nix Special. Very hesitantly seasoned and almost no garlic can be tasted. But pleasantly creamy. And Zack and Zack... It not only filled the house, but also the table top in front of us. A demand for the operator, what he would have carved us now, followed something that blows and finally from a finger point on the map. Okay, peasant sausage in clay pot, standing on the map. But that was delicious: a cut sausage, even very strong and spicy, in a tomato sauce. I liked it and my dear wife. A little inappropriate that another dish was also served in tomato sauce. Tomato sauce baked with feta. Too much of the good. Tomato sauce again. But this is very dominant. Not because she had tasted particularly intense, yes, she was pretty nice, but because the hackball obviously stopped every sex. Nothing in taste. For me the feta was up. My wife was able to win a little more to the court, although no applause towers came from there. If the one or the other orders the Dönermann “without sharp” I would have liked the next passage “without tomato sauce”. And my clear wish was heard: Souvlaki and fried, marinated belly. It seems a little coke on the picture. Live was very good. Wonderfully delicate, beautifully spiced and not roasted as usual. Okay, it went up again. Somehow I missed some vegetables. The southern countries love to serve it as interesting and original. Grilled peperoni, grilled zucchini or Melanzani or baked mushrooms or... and there were vegetables. After the map: roast fresh potatoes. Okay, somehow it looked like Pommes. But they lived together wonderfully and were great. Tastefully excellent and also beautifully seasoned, but nevertheless this is better. I think so. On the other hand, I have never been to New York Griechingen and therefore do not know what is authentic. But there was something else: fried zucchini. I like grilled zucchini with Zaziki. But these blows did not find the way to my palate. You barely told my dear wife. Type sweet but bitter and type zucchinifrikadellenlike. Not everyone's thing, but nothing that should be rated particularly negative, just because it does not satisfy our taste. There were two pieces of agitator cake on the house. Nice, but cake isn't mine. I could have imagined an ouzo; it is also funny that on account the whole amount is divided by 2. Maybe if you're in your hair during your meal... Finally, what we should consider or what we should consider. what we did about impressions. I would have liked a little more “appearants” in the form of grilled or fried vegetables. But we were surprised. But in the dosage form it was somewhat too one-dimensional. Perhaps also a daily form of kitchen. I can say badly whether the easily accessible to some extent, probably not even the German language, strong waiting had daily form deficits. The house was then in any case full of breaks (also up to the evil cat table right next to the windfall. For me (and also for my wife, the traditional Greek cuisine was almost 50€, but certainly not worth more. A little disappointment went home. What would still be tolerated: “These are not spider weavings that are bio dreamcatchers,” this magic my wife loved did not come here. What could be seen was so clean. There was no reason to take breaks. The sanitary facilities flattered like the whole house with the exception of two entrance stages.
If you fancy Greek food, I confidently say this is the best that you can find in Stuttgart. Fresh food, nice ambiance. Authentic feel inside.
The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere inside and outside is nice and well decorated. Everything we ordered was very very delicious. The meze meze bread was the best bread I had so far. I only wish they had more meze options which are less dish like but the yoghurt type ones :
What a wonderful restaurant. The food was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant with indoor and out side dining. The restaurant has a lovely decor. Note that all the dishes are served so that everyone can take some, family style like Chinese restaurants often do
