Caterpilot Gmbh Cantina - Stuttgart

I was so excited to see this place have good ratings, so we tried it. The only reason I gave them a star was bc I 'm assuming the food they were serving is an interpretation of what they think is Mexican food. I may of misunderstood the waiters language barrier for surliness, but idk I haven 't gone out much yet. Food: the nachos were re-heated tortilla chips that had some odd sweetish seasoning. The cheese wasn 't pour over, all the sides are served as sides. Flavorless guacamole. There are no beans or rice or real Mexican desserts. The kids quesadilla we asked for with no chicken, the description of it was only to include chicken, but when it came out there was corn inside the quesadilla which the girls did not like at all. I 'm glad they serve it with salad but that 's the only good note. They advertised their tostadas and you would want them, but sadly they 're flour tortillas (burrito size) with a salad on top and a large amount of chicken strips on top. My husband got a burrito which he said was flavorless fancy hot pocket. Drinks: I ordered two different drinks and both seemed to have barely any alcohol. It 's like when you go out to a bar and they water-down the drinks bc it 's whatever you 're drunk who cares. The only thing was I wasn 't and that not what you expect from a restaurant. Needless to say we will not be going back. I won 't recommend anyone to visit. They need to revamp they 're menu and hire a real chef that knows real Mexican cuisine. I 'm better off cooking at home.

Great ambience for small groups. Nice choice of drinks and dishes. Reservations are a must for weekends. Service was awesome and we didn't wait long for the food. Portions are big and I recommend sharing some of the entres, if you can. Great appetizers and choices of salads. I suggest the burrito and fajitas. Will go back again.

I lived on the border of Mexico for ten plus years...I have had a lot of truly authentic Mexican food. While this doesn't meet my expectation of really good Mexican food...the food was good. We started with margaritas and asked for a top shelf tequila (Don Julio Reposado). We were a little worried when the waiter looked at us like it was a foreign concept. However the bar agreed to make the margarita and it was divine!!!! They served us some popcorn with the drinks which wasn't very Mexican but it was welcomed since we were starving. We started with nacho chips and guacamole. We liked the texture of the chips but they were cold and stale. The guacamole was puréed with little flavor. We would probably skip this appetizer next time. Despite the nacho fail the entrees were really good. The chicken fajitas were delicious...served with a side of queso cheese rather than sour cream which still worked. I would order this entree again. My husband had the enchiladas ...while he said they were not really enchiladas and more like taquitos with sauce he said the dish was really flavorful. If the improved their nachos and guacamole and served hand made tortillas, which are Mexican staples and should be done right they would get at least a four but these need to be improved. We liked the meal and the ambiance...great for large groups so will definitely keep this place in mind when thinking about having Mexican food again!

The food here is not at all authentic (Mexican or Tex Mex), not flavorful, and overall unsatisfactory. One of the staff members was very rude to my partner and I and another group was seated at our table by the waiter because there were no free tables. Maybe this is normal in Germany, but in America it is not. The customer service at this restaurant is exceptionally bad and I will not be eating here again. I would not recommend eating at Cantina the restaurant is too expensive for the quality of the food and service.

I haven't tried the food but the cocktail specials (4,80euro) are great during the week happy/blue hour goes until 9pm and if you have a group of 3+ on Thursday you get the cheap cocktails until closing at midnight. Very busy and happening place, check the website for specials.
