Bidra med feedbackThis charming tea room offers a wide selection of teas and various food options including meat, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. We have visited a few times during our trips to Bath, and most recently brought along our 18-month-old. It is a must-visit spot in Bath, with a warm and inviting atmosphere and delicious food.
Beautiful café and tea shop with so much choice. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable, as well as very generous with their time. Very recommended if you are in the area.
The tea at this restaurant is always fantastic, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Whenever I'm in town, I make sure to stop by. It's one of the few places that truly knows how to brew a good cup of tea.
I had a fantastic experience at Comins Tea. It's clear that the owners are truly passionate about their craft and pay attention to every detail. We stopped by for lunch on a weekday, and while reservations aren't mandatory, they're recommended. The restaurant was pleasantly quiet when we arrived, and we both enjoyed the pork dumplings, Asian salad, daal, and our chosen teas. The food was absolutely delicious, and the tea selection was impressive. For dessert, we tried the matcha green tea lolly, which was not overly sweet but wonderfully creamy. Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with brewing tea, as they provide instructions on how to get the most out of your drink by re-brewing it. It's definitely worth the experience.
Comins is absolutely at the top of my list of places to go right now. It's a very tranquil space with an array of delicious options, and good social distancing for those of us feeling a bit nervous at the moment. All the essential deets: You DON'T have to be a tea expert (but if you are you'll be delighted). The wonderful staff are happy to pick something for you, or go through the options with you in as much detail as you want (I always ask for a surprise, and it's always great) Expect to want two dishes and dessert if you're going for lunch, as the portion sizes are conservative (don't worry, they're priced accordingly); it's also good for snacking, grazing, and brunch There are vegan and gluten free options (cake options vary, the Dal is GF (and VG) without the scone) Solo sippers are welcome; I recommend sitting in the cosy nook at the back. Main tea room looks wheelchair accessible but the bathrooms (unisex) are not (they're down some narrow stairs) Kids will love green matcha cookies, but I don't think there's much here to keep them entertained Most teas can be steeped again several times, water is provided in fancy heat retaining jugs When I'm feeling overwhelmed this is the perfect place to sit, breathe, sip, and have properly tasty, soul nourishing food. When I'm relaxed it's a chill place to catch up with friends, or to treat myself to a ton of teas and maybe listen to a podcast! Don't forget to pick up some loose leaf tea while you're there or online, it makes working from home (or anywhere) SO much better.
