Bidra med feedbackMy son and his beautiful bride married at Old Sturbridge Village in the barn and the wedding reception was at Oliver Wight Tavern at the end of the last month. I cannot express how wonderful everyone involved was from day to day ANNEX beginning with the food tasting night (see photos below) and again throughout the reception service and food was excellent. I would highly recommend this place. At that time, I would also like to tell you that Oliver's has a Sunday brunch that is worth checking if you are in the area. Special mention: We met Shayne at the food tasting night and was very happy that she served at the wedding reception. Shayne is one of those individuals you feel especially at a special occasion. Peg, who works as a buffet server, very helpful and attentive. Chris a young man who really does good omeletts was from CT.
Since for the winter-revel ball, it was fun to dance like the people during the time, knew nothing about 1830 ballroom, each step was taught and ended up dancing all night, the food was great, the main rib and popover was my favorite, would go back and do again!
Recently I had the baby shower of my daughter in the Grecian room at Oliver Wight Tavern. It really exceeded my expectations! The booking of the event with Denise went so smoothly. Chad ensured that everything was perfectly decorated (and it was). Our server Shelby was efficient and friendly! The food/sweet we choose was all excellent! Everybody enjoyed it! I would recommend the venue for future events!
The Sunday brunch at Oliver Wight Tavern has become a family tradition with us and a beautiful opportunity to entertain friends too! The selection of dishes is enormous and tasty, the waiting staff is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is delightful, and our group can always enjoy a casual and relaxing culinary experience together. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet is for a real treat when they do it!
When it is not crowded,it is a nice place to have breakfast. The food is good with a variety of offerings, the price is reasonable. The tables tend to wobble. The staff can get harried and become inattentive. We go for a lazy Sunday brunch.
