Sweet Basil Cafe - Streator

Food quality really goes downhill. We ordered 2 first-class rib dinners and the steaks were more fat than meat. The waitress took 15 minutes to get a box for what we didn't eat. I don't know what's going on with this restaurant that they went downhill in the last few months.

Sweet Basil was so good, surprisingly for a restaurant that had such a huge menu. Honey I heard both a panini, I had the Chicken Artichoke one, came with Chicken Orzo Soup (omg, so delish! and golden frits (hot on the inside crispy on the outside). Hubby had the chicken with Pesto Mayo and the chicken noodle soup. We were both very satisfied!

Nice place. The food was okay. Steaks were cooked a little and the fries of the woman were a little finished. Will give them another attempt soon and see if there was only one single incident.

I love eating here! The service and atmosphere are terrific! The food is outstanding! They have a full selection on their menu. Also, they have OH MY GOODNESS desserts! I fully recomend the Banana Foster!
