Tia's Place - Strathroy

This was our first visit to Tia's, but we will certainly go again. They offer a Portuguese influenced menu, and they do it well. The pork was really good and the other choices our friends had were also enjoyed. The servings are generous, but I found the inclusion of both rice and French fries with all the dishes unusual...maybe it's a Portuguese thing? The owner was friendly and welcoming and told us about their seafood buffet once a week. It sounds great...we will try it out sometime. They also offer a soup, salad and sandwich buffet at lunch and are open for breakfast. One nice menu touch was the large selection of gluten free options.The decor was nice and it was quiet allowing us to carry on a conversation easily.I certainly recommend it and will return.

We stopped here for coffee and a treat, and were served the local fair trade brew, Oh-Joe's coffee, and a delicious apple crumb pie. All the desserts looked great, attentive service, and a nice soup and salad buffet lunch. We'll be back.

Well what can I say great place food was excellent we had a table of 5 and everyone ordered something different from cod salmon steak chicken everyone was very happy with their dishes great Portuguess food will be back for sure this place is a must

I highly recommend Tia's place, we have been there multiple times as a family and most recently I held my daughters First Communion. The food was amazing, very delicious and tasty. The restaurant was decorated very nicely, The service was friendly and impeccable! Mary-Jo and her staff were so accommodating to my guests and not to mention the lasting impression she left with the little ones by surprising them with ice cream. Friendly, polite and courteous staff. Thank you Tia's place for creating a beautiful memorable event for my family. Looking forward to many more breakfast, Lunches and dinners at Tia's place!

I really enjoy when a restaurant is proud of their food and this is very evident at Tia's. It's nice, well decorated but not elegant, a place where you go to eat for no special reason. Well except the food is really good and the prices are quite reasonable. I had the Portuguese Fish, a special the night we were there and very different from their regular Fish & Chips. Not sure what defines it other than it is very good. My partner had the Portuguese Chicken and raved that it was better than her favourite restaurant's.
