Bidra med feedbackWe visited Stratford a few of years earlier (pre-covid) and ate at this restaurant at that time. Because we were so impressed with the ambiance and quality of the nachos, we decided to see if they would be as good a second time, and they were just as remembered! Layered with goodies, and when meat added, a meal in itself! Staff very friendly, reasonable price for a tourist town, and a patio option upstairs (unfortunately weather did not cooperate for that). Upstairs and downstairs seating available.
Sorry, it was unorganized and chaotic; fries were a mix of double cooked (so, too crunchy to eat) and almost raw; underwhelming atmosphere and service
It was a lovely Sunday evening and we were wanting a great patio. The patio does not disappoint. We both ordered salads. they were fairly expensive salads. But, the quality of the meal was not very good at all. But, we had drinks and those were decent. So, we weren't complaining! And our server was very nice, even if it took her a few extra minutes to get to our table while the restaurant was dead. Go for the patio and drinks if anything, don't go expecting great food.
Our son and his fiance took us out for Mother's Day. We stopped for lunch at The Hub in Stratford Ontario. It was a nice day so we went up tp the rooftop patio. They had the outdoor heaters on but someone at another table requested some be turned off...it was too hot. They turned them off and it was perfect. We had the Margherita Flatbread and Coconut Mussels for starters. Had a couple of drinks and then ordered lunch. The Hub Club, Buffalo Chicken Wrap, Roasted Beet Goat Cheese Salad and a West Coast Spring Salad with chicken added. Everything was plated nicely and taste delicious. The drinks were good and they also kept our water topped up. The staff was delightful and the manage came over and chatted. For those who find the stairs a hard climb, they have an elevator. We would definitely go back
Nice location, pleasant street patio. My mistake was to order chicken tenders. Now, chicken tenders are typically 90% meat and some breading, but theirs are 90% breading with some traces of meat inside. Never mind that they were smaller than wings, they were overcooked to the point where they had become hard to bite on. Waitress offered items to sub for fries with meal and I asked for coleslaw, only to find out on check after meal that the substitution incurred a $5 upcharge. $5 for a tiny container of coleslaw on a $20 meal is highway robbery. Waitress never mentioned it on ordering. Needless to say, I won’t come back here.
