L'Ami Schutz - Strasbourg

A little disappointed, we chose this restaurant because I had read the map on their site, I thought it was quite varied and soothing I had spotted the duck magret and other good things, when booking by phone it is not clear that the card will be restricted! Upon arrival choice of 4 entries, 6 dishes and 4 desserts. The more I had spotted, the damage, it should be reported on the website and on the Fb. In short we chose, we ordered an aperitif and a dish. The aperitives arrived and 5 minutes later our dishes!!! Even not the time to taste the aperitif, we had to finish it with our dishes...Incessant, the dishes cool ... Grimbergen beer is served flat! No foam at the bar, the server adds beer with a cup to redo the foam. I saw that! The kitchen is good, nothing to say, nice discovery. But the service is to review, I understand that with the Christmas market, the team is overwhelmed, but some mistakes must not be made to arrive with the dishes and no table covers,... . Another thing, the cleanliness of the toilet,....can do better.

Etant alsaciens we have known this restaurant for many years. We took friends to discover L'Alsace and unfortunately discovered that the kitchen was no longer the same. Choucroute, tourist trap, nothing to do with a real sauerkraut! Too bad! The women's toilets and there's only one!!! Disappointing...

A place a little kitch and warm, authentic cuisine, a pleasant and generous service. A very good time.

Nice typical winstub restaurant serving quality alsatian dishes and dishes in an atmosphere of old (many woodwork and seats of old times), nice reception and service. Remember to book before, because the place is known and rather run.
