Bidra med feedbackThis place is NOT authentic. The waiter was very nice but the food was not that good. The Pozole soup is not real Pozole. The tortillas soup tasted sour. The cheese ? in the soup was ok but the spices are just not there. Chicarrone garnish in the soup was cool. The beef fajita taco was alright but not the best. The birra taco was good but no consome comes with it. They give you chips and beans instead of salsa. That's oK b/c chips and salsa is not a thing in Mexico. The pastor taco was a bit off. If you ask for salsa for tacos it's like a 1oz cup lol. Not enough for 3 people. The jamaica was not good. The horchata was OK. I do not like the fact that they claim to be authentic bc it definitely is not. Real authentic mexican cuisine is quite delicious, this place just didn't do it. But to each their own.
I had steak fajitas (called something else parradillas or something close). I was asked how I wanted them cooked. I said med rare. When they got to my plate, they were about 7 or 8 thin strips on meat about the size of thick cut bacon. There was no way in the world to cook that thin of meat to medium rare. They were cooked all the way to well done. So, almost no flavor. Between the severely overcooked meat and how small of a portion of meat there was, I was so disappointed. The cost was $20, so I was expecting a little more. This was my first time there, and I don't see myself ever going back.
I will start off by saying that I prefer this restaurant over the location out on San Pedro because of the Atmosphere, Seating(Metal chairs at SP are terrible , and it doesn't feel crowded. The food at this location is great especially the chilaquiles divorciados which are some of the best I have tasted. I like that the sauce sticks to the chip and not poured on. My other favorite are the Enchiladas Mexicanas which are very tasty and not overwhelmed with the strong taste of chile cascabel. The desert conchas are also a great desert to have, especially with a warm cafe the olla. Our server was very attentive and friendly. My only gripe here is that I'm not a big fan of the decorative clay type plates, I prefer just the regular white kind. I do recommend you visit this Tlacho location. Very very good!!
Great place to try! My husband and I got the queso fundido and elote to start. Our entree was the Qusedillas De Birria with two chispas. Everything was delicious! We were sat and served quickly and later in the evening the mariachi band started playing. We will be back.
AUTHENTIC Mexican food! Drinks are delicious and one of extremely rare places to serve tasty café de olla! I can't leave without a couple refills. The servers and staff are very welcoming, give great menu recommendations and you never have to ask for them or look for them. EXCELLENT SERVICE! We love the inside. It's very pretty, very clean and appropriate for any type of gathering or meal.
