Uncle Willie's Soul Food Cakes

This is the best soul food restaurant in Ga. I had the Turkeys wings, Mac&Cheese and Collard Greens. I tell you the food was delicious. It was too good!

I honestly tried to give this place another chance as an entrepreneur of a black owned business but at some point we truly have to hold ourselves accountable for the products we send out the door! I’m from Americus Ga so when I Google soul food near me I’m expecting close to home or at least very similar. I ordered a two Turkey wings plate with collards and yams. The Turkey wings were clearly a few days old yet still decent in taste. The yams were mashed with pecans yet lacked sugar, flavor and spices. The collards…. CANNED!!! The collards are canned collards that had been reheated over several days as they were mushy(I know food costs are high but after day two you have to trash them!!! I placed this order through door dash and the pictures online had me thinking I’d be getting something totally different! I’m willing to give this place another chance at a later date and possibly update this review.

This is a hidden gem! The delicious soul food is top notch! Uncle Willie's did not disappoint! Can't wait until my next visit!

Great service with excellent fresh southern cooking! Fried chicken was amazing, we highly recommend this restaurant. Delicious!

I came here on 10-26-2023......my wife said they were raving about the restaurant on tik tok. We walked in, and they were just opening, I walked up to the counter to look at the food. The smothered chicken looked overcooked, and the gravy on the smothered pork chops was 2 light. The Mac n cheese was overcooked.....the sides tasted like they were straight from a can. The meat was decent, but the sides were trash. I wished Uncle Willie had been there because I know.... he would not have let it go down like that.. I won't be returning.....10 out of 10 I do not recommend!!!!
