It is best to go through the beautiful and well restored streets of the old town, which is also worth seeing. The facility dates back to 1118. It was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt in its history. In 1956 they were returned to the building material of the 15th rebuilt. Century. This eliminated the damage of war.
Very nice atmospheric castle with a definitely good restaurant in it, unfortunately there was no free table anymore:
The Stolberger Castle thrones above the Oberstolberger Altstadt. Access is free, (less) parking is available on the back. This should perhaps be kept free for people with reduced mobility, especially as the ascent is easy without hindrance. There is also a museum in Torburg. Gastronomy was unfortunately closed, but also worth a visit. In winter there is also a Christmas market.
Have eaten a very tasty potato snack in the outdoor gstronomy and enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere. Very nice service and good value for money!
The castle is nice to visit, well maintained and the staff very friendly. Large parts of the castle are however restored and not original and inside there was not much to see. It was nice.
