Pho Bac Hoa Viet - Stockton

This is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Stockton that I have found so far, hands down. Everything I have ordered has been amazing, well proportioned and fairly priced. The staff is also very nice. I've tried other places and always regret it. This is my weekly treat. Amazing food.

The food is delicious. The prices are right. The people are professional. I love this place and I recommend it highly.

Stopped here today having never tried pho. Wasn't sure what to expect but wow. I can't imagine it being better anywhere else. It was amazing! Not to mention, I drove all the way to Galt and it was still piping hot when we got there. Definitely will be back.

The food is good and fast and is typical Chinese Asian fare. We are no longer going to this restaurant though due to the theft of our money. We used a Visa credit card to pay for dinner. The next day we look up on like to see the charges and wow, they have added 20% gratuity to the charge. We usually tip anywhere between 10% to 20% depending on the food and service but we do so at Vietnamese owned establishment because we want to make sure the service people actually ends up with the tip and not the owner. Well, I came back and explain this to the owner and we got a song and dance, no explanation beyond that it is a bank mistake. I told him "wrong, we also own a business and use the same charge card processor. We showed him our copy that has the tip crossed out and the total same as before tip. This mean that the tip was manually entered in and probably by those who batch out at the end of the day. I know that it was his wife or he himself. I explain to him that I did not want to drive down to Stockton from rural Lodi burning $5 of gas to capture my lost $10 but it was matter of principal. As this is a review of the restaurant and the food, I can not complain. I can not trust the food again as I caused a lot of ruckus and have been verbally and ruthlessly honest about the occurrence. We wanted an acknowledgement of the theft and an apology but never gotten one. Again, it is not about the money. I would recommend the restaurant, wait staff is nice and the food is good and fast…just watch it if you are using your credit card. We use to go to it at least once or sometimes twice a month for years … now we will never set foot there again.
