Bidra med feedbackMy experience eating at Campesino Cafe was very positive. The service was slow but aside from this issue, the food is and was 5 stars. Let's begin with the handmade flour tortillas. The tortillas were so fresh, warm, and plump that this alone is worth visiting. For breakfast, I ordered the Chorizo, Nopales (cactus), Egg scramble. The fries (papa's) were sauteed just to perfection. The beans were freshly refried which i noticed being pan grounded on the stove. The Mexican rice was done with the correct amount of tomato sauce and with the perfect touch of salt. Our meal was served with a side of Red Mexican Salsa. The Campesino Cafe location is in a busy area called Charter Way; I believe highway 12. The owners are traditional and very mild mannered. I will most definitely return anytime i am in the Stockton area.
I really like their menudo. Best I've ever had . It takes a bit to get your food or to be helped but theirs only two women that cook but its worth the wait in my opinion . Very nice ladys feels like your at home and mom is cooking.
This restaurant only accepts cash, which is something to keep in mind. It’s nice that they prepare all the food fresh right in front of you. Overall, I would say it’s decent, but not the best in the area. The wait time was over 20 minutes, but that’s expected since they make everything fresh. I do think they could improve on their salsa, though.
The food is consistently incredible. She makes fresh homemade tortillas and prepares everything right in front of you. If you haven't tried it yet, you definitely should—you won't be disappointed! I took my boyfriend for his first visit, and he loved it. I've been coming here for over 20 years, and the burritos are fantastic!
This cozy, hidden gem on Charter Way and Martin Luther King Blvd is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Stockton. The atmosphere is very authentic, and the service is excellent. I plan to bring my family here for dinner. This time, I tried the breakfast burrito with bacon, eggs, potatoes, and beans topped with cheese.
