Umi Japanese Steak House - Stockbridge

Absolutely terrible. I ordered food to go they told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Over an hour later it still wasn?t ready. I asked to speak to the manager to receive a refund but they kept telling me they couldn?t find the manager. Then when the food was brought out, they only made half my meal, and never even put in the rest. At this point I just took my sushi and left, once I got home with my sushi I found it wasn?t even cut, as well as mostly just a solid brick of rice. The eel sauce was missing from both rolls also. Worst experience I?ve ever had here and I won?t be returning.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the steakhouses out here in GA since I came from Texas. I noticed the two states have some differences, but they're not that different. The staff was very friendly. They were quick to refill drinks, which I liked a lot. I enjoyed the eel and avocado sushi roll with eel sauce. The chef was very young and skilled. He made hearts with the food for Valentine's Day. The fried was good as well as the steak and shrimp. If you're a health fanatic, I think you can request an oil to be used instead of butter and steamed rice instead of fried rice, so they're very flexible. I recommend this place. It's clean and nicely upkept as well with good decor, a large bar, and tvs to watch the Super Bowl and other sports even in the cooking area.

Nit a good experience. The place was so hot, not only to me but others in our party also. Chef was good, food was good. Bathroom was pretty disgusting. The employees were nice but overloaded. Management needs to fix air-conditioning, clean up the place and I wish them luck hiring more staff. This place used to be so nice. Maybe it's a sign of the times

It was ok. I was disappointed that the Kani salad didn?t have the Kewpie and Masago in it. The rest was mediocre, and to me not worth the prices at this location.

My husband and I love this place! We truly enjoyed our hibachi dinners and it?s well worth the price. The customer service has always been great as well. Can?t wait to go back!
