Bidra med feedbackThe entrance and common areas of the hotel look nice. The rooms have been renovated but still show their age. Loose pieces everywhere, damaged floors, etc Very small bathroom with excellent standard shower. Bed comfort was ok. There were some fire doors in the hallway in front of our room... resulting in a lot of noise all evening from banging doors. And the same thing again in the early morning… (a little too much noise for a quiet night. Hotel is not really suitable for people who are not mobile, long corridors, stairs and many interior doors. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant offered standard pub food, quality and taste weren't really great. (Salt and fat Considering the low price they charged us, price/quality, I still rate this as an ok choice.
Absolutely incredible! Beautiful hotel, great rooms, spectacular scenery! Loved it and want to go back!
We spent one night at Tarbet Hotel on our way back to the Lake District. The staff were friendly, helpful, and cheerful. The room was clean and affordable. The heating system was a bit noisy at night, but overall, it was a good experience. We had dinner and breakfast in the dining room, both of which were delicious with great service. We would recommend it to others as a value stop during their travels. It is also very dog-friendly!
Stayed for one night after spending the day walking up Ben Lomond. From the moment we arrived to when we left the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Our room was lovely spacious and clean with a nice view of the hills behind the hotel. Next time we may treat ourselves to a loch view. We ate in the restaurant and the food was wonderful one of the nicest meals we have had in a while, then enjoyed the rest of the evening relaxing in the bar. After a comfortable night the breakfast was delicious being able to select from cereals, porridge and a full hot Scottish breakfast. Many thanks to all the staff for making us feel so welcome. I'm sure we will be back.
We had a pleasant stay at this traditional hotel with a friendly welcome. Our room had a nice view of Loch Lomond, away from the road noise. The recently renovated small room was alright. Despite some negative reviews about the restaurant, we were pleasantly surprised with a very good dinner. The hotel has a cozy and old charm, with ongoing renovations. We booked through Booking well in advance for 100 pounds, but later found much cheaper rates online with breakfast included. It seems that the prices can vary significantly.
