Bidra med feedbackNeeded a quick snack after walking down from Mt. Tam. My mom got an avocado pesto veggie panini type thing, which looked amazing, and which she thoroughly enjoyed. I bought the clam chowder and small Caesar. As you can see by the pics, the Caesar was ugly. The lettuce was terrible/inedible. It should not have been served. Not for money anyway! However, the croutons and dressing were quite tasty. The chowder was a little watery, but the flavor was fine. Don't order the Caesar, it's dead.
Had a wonderful day at Stinson Beach and the food at Parkside Stinson was outstanding! Service was excellent. I had the fish tacos. With the special sauce that was served on the side, the tacos were a culinary delight of heaven. And speaking of heaven, Stinson and the Point Reyes area are perhaps the most beautiful places on earth. This part of Marin is special. Stopping at Parkside was perfect. Atmosphere/ambiance is relaxed, rustic, yet has nice little touches of elegance, such as sunflowers, French glassware and nice silverware flatware with sturdy yet soft napkins.Parkside offers both indoor and outdoor seating, very close to the beach so that glimpses of the shore can be seen from a distance out of the windows. My house Margarita was just right and the house hand cut fries with malt vinegar were scrumptious.I splurged! And, had dessert with aromatic fresh hot coffee. Who can resist fresh made soft serve ice cream made by Strauss Creamy? Especially since Marin/Sonoma County is where Strauss dairy products are made. All of their milk and cream is made from local grass fed cows and it’s organic!A medley of fresh berries were included with the Strauss ice cream and that made for a refreshing treat on a summer day.Next time I visit Parkside, I will have a burger. A note to fish and seafood fans, this is the place! The fish was excellent! And when I do go back again, I will also splurge on dessert. The bread pudding is said to be one of a kind, original recipe. Plenty of parking at Parkside, but when busy at peak season everything fills up fast and crowds flock. Yet on a beautiful day there’s plenty to go around of all the good things that Marin County has to offer for everyone. It’s a gem of a spot!
We were staying in Corte Madera and just wanted to take a drive on Panoramic Hwy, but the amazing meal we had at Parkside really made all those twists and turns worth it. They really have the best clam chowder--not too thick and chock full of WHOLE classic, not diced up pieces. My mom and I also shared the calamari, which included oysters and bay shrimp and was crunchy, fresh, and delicious. I loved the plethora of outdoor seating, and there was no wait on a Friday night. If I can offer one criticism, the dessert was frankly not great. I got the bread pudding, which my father described as a sweet quiche . I have to agree, and brulee-ing the top was really unnecessary. So, don 't get dessert! Just get yummy soup and enjoy the ambiance with friends and family.
A pleasure to have lunch at Parkside Cafe! What a lovely location! Our server was the best of the best! And the food was amazing! I had their highly recommended clam chowder paired with a lovely white wine. I am coming back for sure!
