Bidra med feedbackI don't understand why some people are reviewing the parking lot or hospital wait times, as it's not something you would choose to experience. I am here to review the small café located in the hospital foyer, which is open during the day. They offer sandwiches, snacks, and cold drinks, and they also serve Costa Coffee. I stopped by the café for lunch after a hospital visit and grabbed a sandwich and a drink. Despite being busy, the staff worked efficiently to clear the lines. The seating area was clean and well-maintained, even during the rush.
I have never experienced a worse car park in my life. They charge a ridiculously high fee of £3.70 for just 20 minutes! The design is terrible, with not enough space to maneuver and a confusing layout. The ramps between floors are very narrow, with low metal barriers that have clearly caused damage to many cars. These barriers are not always detected by reversing sensors, leading to even more potential for accidents. The barriers are covered in different colored paint and scrapes from all the cars they have hit. The car park can also get congested during busy times. The ramps need to be rebuilt to be wider, and the barriers need to be replaced with a design that is more visible and less likely to cause damage. In short, avoid parking here at all costs if you can.
As a former Health and Safety manager and current Senior Operations manager overseeing 5 catering outlets for a global company, I believe I am qualified to provide this review. This restaurant does not display any allergen notices, and the cakes and hot pastries are not labeled, making it difficult to know what you are ordering in terms of ingredients or calories. The table we sat at was dirty, the barista machines and countertops were filthy, and drinks were not being dispensed in the order they were purchased. Additionally, the till was left open with staff members' backs turned while they made drinks. The overall cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards are severely lacking, especially in a hospital setting.
The worst hospital iv ever been too left waiting 7 hours later than my original operation time shockingly bad staff no communication just awful in every single possible way next time I go price as the nhs is broken and this place is the worst of the worst
Firstly, waiting staff are very helpful and friendly. The management need to refurbish the staff/public restaurant on the second floor. The menu changes on a daily basis, however everything looks the same and a bit anemic. The Costa coffee shop needs to be opened a bit longer with a better offering and cleaned on a regular basis.
