Bidra med feedbackThe vegan plant-based burger on the menu at this restaurant came with grilled halloumi, which is not vegan. Despite the burger being labeled as vegan, there was no indication that the halloumi was not vegan. When I explained to the manager that I had a soy allergy and requested a vegan dish, they said they would make the butternut squash and eggplant dish vegan and soy-free. I specifically asked for the Dauphinoise potatoes to be vegan as well, and was assured by the kitchen that they would be made soy-free. However, when the dish arrived, the eggplant was cold and unappetizing. When I raised my concerns with the manager, I was told that he had personally checked the dish and deemed it suitable. Some members of our group also found the Dauphinoise potatoes to not taste vegan. It is disappointing that despite reaching out via email prior to our visit to inquire about vegan and soy-free options, the miscommunication and errors in the kitchen resulted in a less than satisfactory dining experience.
The plant-based burger on the menu was labeled as vegan, but it came with grilled halloumi. We asked if the halloumi was vegan, but unfortunately it was not clearly stated on the menu. We requested for it to be served without the halloumi. I explained to the manager that I am allergic to soy and asked for a vegan and soy-free butternut squash and eggplant dish. Despite specifically asking for only cooked potatoes or chips that were vegan, when the food arrived, the eggplant was cold and had an odd flavor. The manager assured me that it had been checked, but to my disappointment, the dauphinoise potatoes were not vegan-friendly, causing concern for others in our group who followed a vegan diet. Prior to our reservation, I had emailed to inquire about vegan and soy-free options, and the person who booked the table had also asked about this.
The plant-based burger on the menu was labeled as vegan but came with grilled halloumi. When we inquired about the halloumi being vegan, we were informed that it was not. We requested for it to be served without the halloumi. I have a soy allergy which I explained to the manager, along with my requirement for a vegan meal. The manager assured me that the kitchen would prepare the butternut squash and aubergine dish to be both vegan and soy-free. I specifically asked about the dauphinoise potato and requested for it to be substituted with boiled potatoes or chips that were vegan. The manager reassured me that the kitchen would accommodate my dietary needs. However, when the food arrived, the aubergine was cold and tasted like miso. Upon double checking, the manager insisted that it was vegan. Unfortunately, the dauphinoise potato was not vegan, as confirmed by multiple people at our table. I had previously emailed about my dietary restrictions and the person who made the reservation also inquired about vegan and soy-free options.
