Bidra med feedbackMost of the amenities were dirty or not working. Heated pool was cold, jacuzzi dirty, steam room out of order. Coffee pods in rooms not compatible with the machine. Restaurant didn't had 2 of the menu items that we wanted to order. Our bed didn't had a fitted sheet on. Serious maintenance and upkeep needed. Rooms: 2 Service: 2 Location: 4
I was at Majeka House the past three days and what an experience. From Colletta at front desk through to Tammy at spa what a great welcome and excellent service. It was one of my best times at a spa/hotel. Thanks to you all from the owner, manager, the friendly lounge and kitchen staff to household for let me feel special. You’re going to see me again soon. Rooms: Very neat and comfortable. Loved the good mattress and pillows. Safety: I never felt uneasy to walk around day or night Walkability: Nice safe Noteworthy details: Exceptional friendly and helpful
I have been a faithful customer of the spa for years. I have spent thousands on treatments there and have come back time and time again but my last 3 experiences at the spa has been really disappointing. 1) my husband and I waited on the massage bed for 10 minutes before anyone came in to assist. That is a lifetime in the spa. 2) the massage was not good at all. My spine was being crushed instead of my muscles...I woke up the next day in pain (not the good kind) 3) I could feel my massage therapist on her phone mid-massage 4) There was not a lot of grace when going past me, many times I was bumped over as she was reaching for something. 5) No plans were made for load-shedding with music so the therapist played music on youtube with ads interrupting the songs from her phone speaker which was really well...not relaxing. 6) We paid for a 90 minute treatment and we were kicked out after 75 mins. 7) Attitude of staff sub-standard 8) Staff not very delicate when washing dishes, very loud and disruptive in between treatments 9) my sister went to their spa yesterday and the pool was cold, jacuzzi was cold, the steam room wasnt working and there was no bucket of water to make the sauna be sauna-ish. 10) without the facilities, there is really no point in visiting Majeka house anymore unless there is a serious revamp. Better off going somewhere else in the Winelands. Regards
Being a Beauty therapist myself...Overall treatment experience was ok, therapists just need to be trained better when it comes to couple 's treatments and need to be on the same page when starting the treatments. My body scrub started sitting up straight and having my back scrubbed which was not relaxing at all, my husband 's scrub was started with him laying on his tummy and having a comfortable back scrub, the Hotstone massage was good though. The spa itself is very run down, and need some serious tlc, but the towels was clean. ..The complimentary facilities (sauna, heated pool jacuzzi)was all out of order and was only communicated to us two hours before we arrived via email, which was a shame because we looked forward to it. I also think the facilities has been out of order for a while according to other reviews. The treatments are very overpriced for the service we received... so not a place we would visit again, unfortunately.
CHEAP and FRAUD!!! We booked the hotel based on the 5 stars on the internet. When we entered the hotel we were greeted by a musty odor. The garden furniture was totally filthy, the pool with a green tinge, etc. The worst thing was the room, the door full of grease, it wobbled and banged on the train. We were informed immediately that the room was not offered, but they only said there was no other. When we informed after 30 minutes that we would not stay here we would have been given another room. The height of impertinence is that we have not been reimbursed a penny to this day. They would have liked to be able to calculate cancellation fees but have kept quiet so far !!! Rooms: totally dirty old junk and that's what it smells like. They kept the money we paid in full even though we never moved into the room!!!!!
