Smitty's - Steinbach

You like re heated food from last nights dinner you’ll love this place, for paying $20 per item to taste like garbage with not enough sauce an re heated items isn’t worth it.

Food is always great, the website suck always. I have never been able to order online. I have tried at least half a dozen times. Today the Steinbach location didn't even exist. I have no problems with anything but the website and you have to go through an automated message when you call them.

Now that the covid-19 is just about all over out here and Steinbach Manitoba we can go about freely about having a nice dining experience. The restaurant is open as well as they kept the corner stores they call it. It was really a shame to have to have to miss it but we managed to get through it in the short time that it was closed for three months. If you want some more German High German type food this is the place to go this is excellent excellent food and a atmosphere is fantastic.

The atmosphere was welcoming and the service superb. The server Amy was very patient with Mom who is 90 and took a while to peruse the menu. My husband had the liver which he thoroughly enjoyed commenting on it being fresh hot and tender. He remarked that some restaurants serve it overdone and tough but that this was excellent. I had the Bacon cheese burger. The meat tasted freshly made. It was piping hot and delicious. The bun was well toasted and the fries were hot and crisp. Mom had the pancake stack and bacon. The pancakes were fresh and fluffy and the bacon was crisp. She enjoyed them as well. Our drinks and coffees were refilled without any wait. We will definitely bring her to this restaurant again.

Meat lovers skillet was delicious! They subbed farmer sausage for the regular sausage but only after we asked. 5 stars if they had offered that as a gluten free alternative. GF toast is toasted in a dedicated toaster. Service is friendly.
