Applebee's Grill - Statesville

Applebees used to be one of our favorite spots but lately they just have not been up to par! We ordered curbside today and we're missing all of our sauces and for appetizers and meals, also the chicken platter I ordered was missing Cole slaw and had literally maybe 5 fries. We ordered sweet tea but received unsweetened. For the price we paid I feel the food should have been correct. Definitely do not recommend anymore.

Hubby and I went here for Valentine's Day Lunch. The salmon was off the charts! He had delicious steak and shrimp. I had the Tipsy Cupid drink..kind of a Strawberry Lemonade...holy Devine!

Service was very friendly but very slow. The restaurant was fairly messy but I assumed it was the after dinner rush mess on Sunday. I ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp with garlic mashed and garlicky green beans. The garlicky green beans were delicious but tasted like fresh steamed beans sans the garlic. The potatoes and chicken/shrimp came on a sizzling cast iron skillet. The skillet was filled with grease and was quite unpleasant. The shrimp were burnt on one side and opaque on the other leaving me to question their “done-ness”. The onions and mushrooms they sat on were soaked in grease. The chicken was actually quite delicious. The mashed potatoes were of a nice homemade consistency but there was a flavor in them that just tasted off.

Can't complain affordable date night for me and hubby...

If I could’ve give zero stars, I would have went in sit down, ordered wonton tacos told them no cilantro guess what come back loaded with cilantro send it back come back all they done was scrape the cilantro off of the wonton tacos and gave them back to me and tried to tell me that they made new ones when you can still see cilantro all in it as manager and he argued with me telling me that the slaw had cilantro in it that’s not true. I’ve ate their slaw before never had cilantro in it, so he ball face lied to me. The waitress lied to me, saying she threw the old ones out but you could clearly see they were the same nachos , just the cilantro slightly took offBroken
