Nacho Mama - Staten Island

We had animal pommes and the appetizer. the animals fries out of this world. the plan shell was huge but super oily. I would go back 100% only for pommes and I would try a few other gf special items, but I am a bit on the chew, as my partner says that it all tends to be oily and not super tasteful. I'm curious enough to find out.

The flavors were delicious! The queso was spot on! We had Bangers and Mash and the General Tso Tofu. We’ll definitely be back!

Was happy to find this place not too far from my sisters house on SI. I was excited to try the food, my sisters and I ordered 100 bucks worth of food and I was totally disappointed. The 3 layer dip was the highlight of the meal. The dip was very good and the chips were super crispy with just the right amt of salt. But the rest of the food...I could have made it better myself. My quesadilla was super soggy. I appreciate that they give you a lot of food, the portions are huge, but they are a bit pricey and not worth it in my opinion.

I love this place so very much. I haven’t tried a lot of the menu because my first time I got nacho beef nachos and I swear it’s as if they read my mind as to what should be in a dish (I’m one of those people who always pick something out/ ask for none of an item or add an item). I used to look at the menu guilty gleam in my eye because I knew I would just order the Nacho beef nachos. Now I don’t look, because you don’t mess with perfection. I am sure other dishes are good, I try what others are getting!

Finding Vegan food is like hunting for Gold here in Staten Island, so I am so pleased and happy that another Vegan restaurant has opened up. This place has a little of everything from Mexican to Asian and others in between. Some of the dishes like the General Tso 's dish really need more work on it, the sauce was too salty and did not exactly capture how the sauce is suppose to be. But I still give them an E for effort.........just hope they work on it. Instead of Seitan, I suggest they use pan-fried or even air-fried tofu. I also had the RIce Bean dish w Plantains Avacado. Very delicious. Btw, the poritons are huge, so plenty of leftovers for next day. Now to the star of the show dish at Nacho Mama, the ANIMAL FRIES dish for $9. Holy Cow, is that dish good. I highly highly recommend it. It was so good I could not stop eating it............I started shoveling it with a big spoon so I could catch all the yummy meat cheese sauce '. Definitely going back for more Animal fries next time and try their burittos tacos.
