Gigi's Southern Table - State College

This is hands down my new favorite place, from the moment I walked in the staff was amazing and I don't think I even have words for the food and just the overall vibe of this place! I will be revisiting! Highly recommend!!!!

My wife and I have eaten here several times, most recently last night to watch the Penn State football game. All of the appetizers were very good as well as the burger, salad, side dishes and desserts. The local Porter from Elk Creek Cafe was also top notch. We prefer the tall tables for seating. Nicholas was our server and did a stellar job checking with us throughout our meal and answering all of our questions about the menu. This is a great spot for a date or to gather with friends away from the busy downtown area and shopping districts.

Being originally from South Carolina, I know good southern food. Gigi's rivals some of the best restaurants in downtown Charleston. Had the lamb shank with grits and asparagus last night and it was amazing. Been here a few times and every server has been wonderful. Prices are high compared to other restaurants in the area, but reasonable for the quality. We don't have many fine dining options in a town that revolves around college students.

Just had one of the best burgers ever! Super fresh, great taste, cooked perfect for my liking. The sauces accompanied the burger perfectly. Double fried french fries with Cajun spice was a another great accompaniment. Will definitely be back. Thanks John.

Great food and loved sitting on the patio. The pear vodka drink was awesome. Great burger! Will definitely return. Nice server, too!
