Federal Taphouse-state College

This was our second visit in a few weeks. The food is good not great but overall worth the cost in my experience. The Bison burger was better than the fried chicken sandwich. Everyone else had the burger and commented it was good. The service has been slow on both visits. Today I watched our pretzel starter sit in the window for about 10 minutes while our waitress honestly seemed clueless. She then proceeded to deliver our starter with our entree never once acknowledging her mistake.

Wonderful lunch as we drove through State College. Lovely design. Great food. Very accommodating to our splitting everything. Great beer.

Fantastic drink selection and great food exactly what I was looking for.

It’s a place to go to watch sports. The food was not great. I had the fish tacos. It was dry. Another person in our party has a steak sandwich. He also said it was dry. The only person really happy with their meal had the bison burger. They required reservations but VERY few people were there the whole time we stayed (2hours). I assume reservations are needed due to planning for the available wait staff. Nice people though. They were completely fine with us staying at our table to watch the hockey game and ordering drinks.

This place was a disaster from the start. Zero accommodations to our party. Took forever for our food, wrong beers and very mediocre to poor food make it a total ‘no-go’. I don’t think any of the 20+ people we brought there would ever go back. Here is a tip for this place: if you number beers to make it simple at least bring the right one when people order by your ridiculous number system.
