Bidra med feedbackTony's Grill always feels like a home cooked meal. That all day breakfast keeps me coming back. Spam Silog or Corned beef Silog are my go-tos for that morning home cooked nostalgia. Ginataan bilo-bilo is also fresh on the weekends which is definitely a good choice if you want one of their delicious sweet treats!
Love the food thank you! Amazing bilo-bilo, I’ll go back for sure
Hello everyone! This is my go to place for halo-halo! They make the best halo-halo in town! Great customer service attitude, very welcoming, and clean! Must come! Must try! Must taste! 5 stars all the way!!!
Working in Stafford allows you to experience international restaurants ranging from Indian, to Pakistanian to Mexican and Filipino. Tony 's is a little gem of a place that I 've driven by it for almost two years and never noticed as it 's tucked away into a quiet strip mall on Murphy. To date, I haven 't had Filipino food for almost a year until 2 sets of family members came to visit and eating Filipino food in Houston became a to do, while visiting. The Filipinos in my family take eating seriously. Like the previous reviewers mentioned, this is a no frills place but what you 'll find is a two gracious owners serving delicious homemade Filipino food to happy clientele. When we visited Friday at lunch, a steady to go business was happening all around us. Since my family is visiting (mom and pops) for a few weeks, we wanted to try at least one Filipino restaurant a week. Striking off Red Ribbon and Gerry 's, Tony 's was the next place on our list. When entering, go all the way to the back of the restaurant where you will see a counter/buffet style set up of freshly made white rice, galunggong, pinakbet, Lechon kawali, adobo and a choice of mongo or clear sinagang soup. Although it 's set up like a buffet it 's not. If you 're lucky one of the sisters will be up front and ask Panda Express style and scoop out very robust servings of two entrees, rice and soup. Pricing for the lunch specials are displayed on the wall behind the buffet. We ordered 3 lunch plates of all the above, 1 leche flan, 2 halo halos and 3 servings of ginatan to go. Food and quality was 8/10 and serving size was 10/10. The adobo was nicely sautéed, the galunggong perfectly fried and the rice was nice and fluffy but the secret of this place? The ginatan on the counter displayed in plastic containers. We noticed a lot of customers ordering and carrying out 3-5 plastic containers at a time and saw it was ginatan. If you haven 't had ginatan, this was one of the best I 've ever tried. In fact describing it has me upset that we didn 't hog up 10 of these babies. As we had flan and halo halo for dessert, we didn 't get to taste this until the next day and what a pleasant surprise that was. In fact, the family ate the entire 3 containers in one sitting. Creamy, chewy goodness in every bite. So note, after ordering your lunch, don 't forget to order this to go. You 'll be thanking me. If you 're in Stafford, drop on by for breakfast or lunch and you 'll be glad you did. Next week we 'll be trying their breakfast menu... Stay tuned...
